Description
Smart contracts enable the collection and disbursement of funds according to immutable computer programs. Built on a Turingcomplete platform, such contracts have the capacity to create constrained and predictable financial constructs without a trusted entity. Distributed autonomous organizations are one such class of contracts that can carry out corporate functions in accordance with the will of their shareholders, while being constrained by programmatic bylaws. These programmatic bylaws, if written with sufficient care can obviate the need for a management team in certain constrained domains.
