in freight in Australia,(b) formulate research project statements and identify costs and
benefits of such projects, and (c) develop recommendations for further research. The
procedures used, which were found to be an effective way of identifying research needs and
formulating research priorities and project statements, are documented. The findings of the
study are also summarized.
