From metal hydrides to the metal-hydrogen system

Most conventional work on metal hydrides has been restricted to compositions and
temperatures at which they are stable under normal pressure. In this paper we describe
some results of our recent high-pressure experiments which have been performed in order
to extend our scope to the entire range of metal-hydrogen systems. Thus, general features of
phase diagrams of binary metal-hydrogen systems, encompassing the whole composition
