The report presents information on public transit fare and service elasticities of demand.
Data were obtained from a comprehensive review of studies performed in the United States
and other countries, especially the United Kingdom. Estimates of individual fare and service
elasticities were obtained from analyses of individual fare and service changes, and from
direct-demand and mode-choice models based on time-series and cross-sectional data.
